Yellowheart, an exotic wood also called Pau Amarello, can grow to more than 130 feet tall and 30" in diameter. It has large leaves upwards of 10" long and 4" wide. It has a wonderful show of creamy white, fragrant flowers. Pau Amarello trees are found almost exclusively in the State of Para, Brazil.
The tone of this urn is a beautiful golden-yellow color. The urn is finished with Danish Oil and has a nice sheen to it. In the light, it looks like flecks of gold. The yellow heart board was nearly one inch thick and I retained as much of that as I could. The urn is heavier than most of my urns.
This urn is priced higher than most of my urns of this design because it is made from an exotic wood that cost twice as much and is more difficult to find.
The urn will be wrapped in a velvet bag and the price includes shipping through the US Postal Service.
